“Rejoice in Yahweh always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Master is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto Elohim. And the peace of Elohim, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Yahshua Messsiah.” ~Philippians 4:4-7

As sisters in the body of Yahshua, we have a special duty to encourage and uphold, to love and guide, to teach and share blessings. Never should a sister in the faith be lonely or in need. Never should a sister in the faith feel despair or uncomforting heartache. May this blog serve as a meeting place and a source of peace and joy for us all. Let us rejoice in the sisterhood of Yahshua!

Amy’s prayer requests: My children and husband, my sister Cheri, my parents, my in-laws, my grandparents, prayer for direction and guidance, prayer for the assemblies, prayer for the marriages in the assemblies, prayers for protection . . . .

  2. apletz says:

I also have a prayer request for today, 8/03/11: My mom is in the hospital for an abdominal injury . . . and she has already had a lifetime of injury and illness and pain (including multiple hernias). Please pray that Yahweh blesses her with healing . . . or the strength to endure this suffering. May His will be done in all things! Sabbath Blessings to you all, my sweet sisters in Yahshua.

  3. Jessica says:

Asking prayer for myself. I am not feeling well. I have a very sore throat and ear pain. I am having trouble sleeping. Thanks.

  4. apletz says:

Ladies, I am asking for prayer for myself. I am home today with severe menstrual issues. I bleed heavily the first two days of my cycle, and I also get the headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and hot flashes/chills. Come the third day of my cycle (which is tomorrow) I feel much better . . . but these first two days make me feel like I got hit by a truck. I would like the energy to enjoy the Sabbath today and the focus to have good bible study here at home while I’m resting. I know this is a personal topic to discuss, but we are women and have all dealt with this issue. There is a time and purpose for everything . . . this I know. 🙂

    • Miss Mae says:

So sorry about this, Amy. My daughter has always had a difficult time. With her it’s not only severe cramps but nausea and throwing up. Once she couldn’t stop vomiting and we had to take her to the hospital. I don’t know why some women are so afflicted. (definitely Eve is to blame! LOL) With her, about like you, it’s the first day or two and the rest of the time it calms down.

You are most certainly in my prayers!

      • apletz says:

We’ll have to all sit down with Eve one day and ask, “Why?” Why?” –LOL. But, on a more serious note, it is quite a recurring UGH! I do thank Yahweh that it passes quickly.

  5. apletz says:

Praying for those affected by the floods on the east coast. Some areas got hit pretty hard.

  6. apletz says:

      • zipporah says:

HalleluYah, I was rejuvenated at FOT with YRM. I find myself checking the calendar when the next feast/ passover will be, oh my 6months? Now, a month is over, but the memories are still flashing in my mind and miss each and every moment I enjoyed at FOT 2011. HalleluYah.

  8. apletz says:

Needing prayer for the start of a new job. Also needing prayer for my children, that they may be protected from the evil in this world.

  9. Sally says:

What a wonderful site! I am agreeing with you for your needs and requests. Please include my children and granddaughter in your prayers. #2daughter has biological clock issue and no husband in site. She is discouraged and depressed. #3 daughter and #1 son also in need. They all need to acknowledge Yahweh and His Word, and turn to Yshua. Granddaughter also needs to be included, and come to know the blessings that come from obedience to Yahweh. I pray for them and for all of our “lost” family members to realize that they have been deceived, and turn to Truth. Many thanks!

    • apletz says:

I will pray for you…I know the pain you feel over your “unbelieving” family members…I know all too well, I’m sad to say. Let us rejoice that we have been called and have received the Word. Praise Yahweh!

  10. Sally says:

    Shabbat shalom!

  11. Sister G. says:

Please pray for the congregation that I currently attend, which does try to follow the Jewish Messiah, Yahshua, however feels that it is wrong or bad to call upon God’s true name, or to even so much as utter it. They believe that giving reverence to our Creator is to suspend the use of His name, when truly I believe it is quite the opposite. Please pray that they receive revelation and are able to enter into the Truth, with open hearts and open minds. This is a great group of people, and I only want for them, the very best.

  12. Karen L. Lempergel says:

I am asking every one to please come together and take a moment out of your day to pray for our daughter Cheri and her family. She is having surgery in the morning and she really needs a lot of strength. As a mother of 3, it is heart breaking to see one of your children in pain.
    Thank you all our love,
From Karen & Stan Lempergel and family

  13. Jessica says:

I heard the opperation went well Karen. We were all praying for Cheri. Hope she has a good recovery from her surgery.

  14. Karen L. Lempergel says:

Please pray for Cheri and her family to have the strength to get through these hard times. She is weak and needs the strength right now.
Praying for all of us to be stong.

  15. zipporah says:

Cheri and her family are in our prayers today. May Yahweh strengthen her and fill our hearts with hope in healing through Messiah Yahshua. HalleluYah.

  16. Julie says:

I am writing this and asking this of everyone, although I feel selfish in doing so. But I have no one to turn to and no one to ask for help. Our family has joined in with Sabbath service each Saturday, receive your magazines monthly. Right now I am trying to get involved with the Bible Study. Our family needs your prayers. Please help us to keep our children safe and help teach them, please help me to be a better wife and mother.

  17. Karen L. Lempergel says:

Psalms 31:8 I will instruct you and teach youin the way you should go; I will guide you with my eye.
    Proverbs 3: 5 & 6

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Psalms 61, is one of my favorites.

You and your family are in my prayers.

  18. zipporah says:

Dear all sisters in faith, I am much lifted by today’s sermon “All things be done in Moderation” sometime I find myself wanting things to be done my way!! anyone out there the same? Selfish!!!? Pride!!? Truely the spirit is willing by the flesh resisting. We ought to have balance, I have been quick to point at the pharisee, but when it comes to forgiving, mercy, loving how good am I doing it? May Yahweh strengthen us. I pray for all sisters, to be better servants of Yahweh, serving one another in truth. HalleluYah.

  19. Julie says:

I agree, Today I listened to three sermons… all I needed to hear. I think thank I am selfish wife and mother. I do not deliberately try to be this way. I think that I am doing it in the best interest of my family. I have aloud fear, anger, pride, and hate to overwhelm my life. I yell at my children too much, I disobey my husband and I turn towards the world. I do not want to live this way. I want peace in my heart and in my house. I mess up everything. I pend too much money and before I know it there is not enough, then I am too afraid of disappointment and anger to go to my husband, so I try to fix it myself. I lie to him about the bills and it all ends up coming anyway. I get angry with our children because they won’t help like they should and begin to yell at them. Today I asked my husband to help me, and it seems he can’t. So now I am asking for some one to teach me. There are “churches” in my area but none with these beliefs. I want to be a good wife and mother. I want to follow in righteousness.

    • zipporah says:

It is good to have a desire to do the will of Yahweh. How we relate with Yahweh has much impact in our relationships (family, friends, co-workers etc) today. For to know patience, love, forgiveness, mercy, kindness etc (virtues). we may go through series of test to sharpen and shape us. It is important to seek the basic elements to accomplishing and reaching our goal of righteousness. Obeying the word of Yahweh, Commandements is major to shaping our walk to knowing him and to better our relationships. Let’s start examining our walk today and read the scriptures=
      Exodus 20:1-17
      Galatians 4:19-23
      Ephesians 4:22-32
      Proverbs 31:10-31
      Proverbs 22:6
      Proverbs 14:1
Proverbs 15:1 = This is my favourite proverb and I struggle to follow the instructions “A soft answer turneth away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger” its absolutely true practically, may Yahweh give us strength to be better servants and follow after his righteousness. HalleluYah.

      • Julie says:

Last night and this morning I spent hours reading and reflecting on Proverbs. I know that I need have patience, love, forgiveness, mercy and kindness. Our house is starting to get better. My children are are coming together. They are not fighting as much and the house is actually staying clean. They are helping each other and being nice to each other. Although my husband is still full of anger and still being cruel. I am hoping if I can make myself into a better person and help my children to be better behaved maybe I can begin to help him. For the first time in I feel that as I reach out my hand for the help and guidance Yahweh is giving me the strength that I need to overcome the horrible person I am.

  25. apletz says:

Losing someone–a loved one–in the worldly, fleshly sense . . . is so hard at times. But, there is life (for some) beyond this world. This is why life is likened unto a great race . . . and we are asked–told–to run the race and fight the good fight. We are told that in Yahshua our legs will not grow weary . . . but this is a walk in HIM, not of and in ourselves. Everyday is a new day, a chance to return to Yahweh and do just that–start anew. We can start this walk every day by honoring and praising Yahweh and showing him we love him by obeying him–following his commandments. Love is not just sappy feelings . . . LOVE is the Word in action! There’s seems to be so much death lately amongst my friends and family . . . and sure does put LIFE in perspective.

  26. Julie says:

Could someone please answer a few questions for me? Let me first explain a couple things on a very personal level. When I was 15 I became pregnant through poor judgment, being too trust worthy, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have never been one to drink alcohol, do drugs or even smoke cigarettes, so that was not a factor. I met my husband 6 months later and he made the decision to take care of my daughter and me. We raised her as ours, he adopted her when she was two. We married when I was pregnant with our oldest son, four years later. Through the fifteen years we’ve been together there has been many stepping stones to overcome. For many years I have been told that I am replaceable, out of all the women in the world he had to marry me, he deserved to marry a virgin, and that marrying me was the biggest mistake he ever made, out of all the women in the world he ended up with me. Please understand, I normally do not give openly this much information to anyone. I am at the end of a troubling road, I need to from other women if I am right or wrong. My husband flirts with other women while he’s at work. If they’re looking at him, he smiles back at them, he even goes as far as to maintain a conversation with them and never mention his wife. He hides magazines and movies. He says that every man looks at other women and has these magazines so it is acceptable. He locks himself in the room or tells me to go to bed and not come out if he is watching these movies. He says that since I had sex before I was married he has the right and since he is not having sex with them he is not committing adultery, I say he is. I have searched through the scriptures, read books and researched this, I can’t tell you for how many hours. I have come to the conclusion that it is committing adultery, that a man may have another wife in order not to commit fornication, although he has to treat each one with equal measures, it also has to be agreed upon by his first wife. Am I wrong? I have also come to the conclusion that every man chosen by Yahweh, who had more than one wife have in some way failed. Jacob, covered Rachel’s crime so that she would not die and be punished. He did not treat Leah as he treated Rachel, and he loved Rachel’s son most. David had a man sent to war so he could marry his wife. And Solomon, well he allowed his wives to turn him away. I know that there are others that failed also, but it seems in the end they overcame. I do not believe that a man can have more than one wife and treat them with equal measures. I can’t see how it is possible. I also know that despite all my faults, I have spent too much money in the past, I’ve lied about what I spent money on. I know these are terrible crimes and I will spend my life making up for them. But I don’t demand expensive things, I don’t go out and leave my family, I’m with my kids 24 hrs a day, I don’t drink, smoke, gamble. I get up every morning at 5, I set my husband’s clothes out, make him lunch and breakfast, I read scriptures, make breakfast for our kids, read scriptures to them, give them their studies, clean the house, help them, I sew, cross stitch, and am learning to crochet, why am I not a good enough wife?

  27. Linda says:

My heart goes out to you and I don’t want this to sound harsh or uncaring as I deeply care about you. It sounds like you are married to an unbeliever and if so you cannot reason with him on a spiritual level, expect him to understand Biblical concepts or respect the woman that Yahweh has called you to become. If he is still of this world, he is a product of a sinful and self-centered culture. However, you are being called to walk on a higher plain and to become an example to him and to your children. While his behavior is very hurtful and makes you feel rejected, my prayer is that you forgive him daily for the things he is doing wrong (as Yahweh has forgiven you). Your husband is treating you terribly I know and he will have to answer to Yahweh for it. Pointing it out to him however will do nothing but push him farther away. My prayer is that in time, he will come to cherish you above all other women. That is my prayer. Because of past mistakes that he is throwing up to you please realize that it might take years for him to come to respect you.
You have someone who is your true love and who has sacrificed his very son for you. Yahweh says that he will never leave you or forsake you. Marriage is difficult, even for those who are both on the same spiritual path and it sounds like you are on different paths. Yahweh is against divorce however and tells us that you cannot leave your husband. Having been married for 39 years to an unbeliever I know that having the fruits of the spirit -love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness and faith-Gal 5:22, will make you stronger. You sound like an incredible wife and even if your earthly husband doesn’t recognize it, your heavenly Father does…and in the end HE is the one that counts.
Your sisters in the faith will be praying for you, your husband and your precious children, this is heartbreaking for us and we want you to know that we care and are here for you.

    • zipporah says:

Sister Linda, Yahweh has well directed you in answering sister Julie’s Question.. I am impressed by the great WISDOM in tackling this scenario. May our father Yahweh continue to guide us and be FRUITIFUL. We are praying for sister Julie and family, May Yahweh strenghthen you through this tough time. Look forward and DO NOT let the guilt of past sin dwell within your heart, at times we learn through mistake. Guilt do Torment and sounds like your husband is manupulative and using the scheme of the evil guilt towards you. we cannot live to pay for all our past sins, If that was the case, we would all be consumed. Yahshua has already paid for our past sins. press forward, continue being a good mother and wife and in due season you shall reap. Love you all sisters in Messiah.

    • Julie says:

Thank you very much. I would like to say this to all of you, even though you do not know me I feel more comfort and understanding in turning to this than I do talking to someone I have known for twenty years. My husband is a believer in Yahweh and Yahshua, he hasn’t reached the understanding of love. After I had posted this, and prayed, the next day he came to me he said, “I do stupid things, Satan knows my weaknesses. Satan works against me to hurt you, which in return hurts our family. You’ve put up with my stupidness, most women wouldn’t even think of. You forgive me constantly when I hold a grudge towards you when you mess up. You’ve cared for me and my children and always put us first, you’re a good hearted woman. You put forth an effort in everything you do, sewing, cooking, planting, cleaning, whether it be for us who you love, your friends, the one down the road who’s paying you or yourself. You are strong” And I never looked at things that way. I sew for him and my children because I want to give them gifts because they help to make me whole and I appreciate them. I do for others because I think it feels good to give and when I’m paid for it I believe I should earn every cent. Through everything we have been through I whole heartedly believe Yahweh has joined us together. Thank you for your prayers. I hope one day I will be able to meet you in person. We are planning to go to the Feast in the fall.

      • apletz says:

Julie…Yahweh is with you, have no fear. There’s no need to worry his presence is near. Trust in Him to guide and provide. It seems as though He’s doing a mighty work in your life. Thank you for sharing your story. I celebrate with you. 🙂

      • Linda C. says:

        Linda C.
